The media: back in the arms of the Republicans again
Posted by Jill | 6:15 AM
It isn't about being close to power after all, it's about the corporate interests of the media. You'd think that after Barack Obama's LANDSLIDE victory on Tuesday, the talking heads of the media would want to get on board with the new corridors of power. But you'd be wrong. Instead, the word "resounding" is used instead of "landslide", and fifteen minutes into "Morning Joe" today, they're falling all over themselves making sure America knows this isn't ANYTHING like Ronald Reagan's win in 1980. Of course it can't be. After all, Ronald Reagan was a Republican, who like the ancient Roman leaders, has become a god after his death. Barack Obama is not only a Democrat, but one whose "pigmentation is unseemly". He can't possibly have been elected with the same level of good will. That isn't in the corporate media playbook.

Good.

Let the rat-things of the Republican party underestimate Obama again.

We saw how well that worked out.

Joe is gonna find that he is more and more obsolete. I was listening to Sirius left last night while endlessly trying to park at 1AM (they are filing something, probably law and order, and have taken all the spots.) and Malloy was taking international calls about the reaction. The whole world is rejoicing, and even fucking Elizabeth Hasselbeck had ot say that she is impressed and will follow him as her commander and chief.
The corporate media is so out of touch...and its a huge mistake to pander to the ugly underbelly of this country right now.
But Joe represents the disgruntled assholes out there who are full o sour grapes.
The disgustingly large contract that Hannity just got indicates that there is a perceived market for this crap...but hopefully it will fall back to the fringes.
maybe humanity will become fashionable again...

You're kidding, right? The corporate media helped to elect Obama! Haven't you been watching CNN or MSNBC? Their pundits were 90% lefties, their stories smeared the hell out Palin and McCain, and they shielded Teflon Barry from any and all dirt thrown their way.

What planet have you been living on?
