Why does Willard Rmoney keep bigots in his inner campaign circle?

If Willard Rmoney is elected in November, there's a very good chance that loose-cannon warmonger John Bolton will be Secretary of State. In an unstable world, having a man who supports Michele Bachmann's McCarthyite anti-Muslim witch hunt demonstrates that Rmoney is completely unfit to lead.

Here's what Bolton said about it on Frank Gaffney's radio show (from ThinkProgress):
What I think these members of Congress have done is simply raise the question, to a variety of inspectors general in key agencies, are your departments following their own security clearance guidelines, are they adhering to the standards that presumably everybody who seeks a security clearance should have to go through, are they making special exemptions? What is wrong with raising the question? Why is even asking whether we are living up to our standards a legitimate area of congressional oversight, why has that generated this criticism? I’m just mystified by it.

Because it's triggered by nothing but anti-Muslim hatred, that's why. Because unless there is some reason to believe that particular INDIVIDUALS are involved in terrorist-abetting activity, said individuals are entitled to be left alone. Because as soon as we start targeting entire groups to prove their loyalty, we are no better than Nazis. That's why. And that Bolton can't see that makes his presence in the inner circle of a major party presidential candidate outright terrifying.

Like maggots crawling out from under a rock....

As George W. Bush's mean mug appears everywhere on television, urging everyone to "buy his book" (as if he needs the money), the maggots of his dead and putrefying term in the White House are emboldened to come out from under the woodwork. The latest are John "Mr. Congeniality" Bolton and John "Torture Boy" Yoo, advocating AGAINST any kind of nuclear cuts, because their little tiny penises can only be made large by having lots of Big Nasty Missiles. You've just got to read this, because the very same men who thought that the presidency meant absolute rule when THEIR guy was in office, are now citing the Constitution in demanding a strong Senate to maintain enough nukes to destroy the world ten times over.

In other news, the British say Bush is still lying. So do the Germans.

Dick Cheney isn't the only vampire bloodsucker whose lifeblood needs regular infusions of mass death.

John Bolton just won't go away:

Iran should be attacked before it develops nuclear weapons, America's former ambassador to the United Nations said yesterday.


John Bolton, who still has close links to the Bush administration, told The Daily Telegraph that the European Union had to "get more serious" about Iran and recognise that its diplomatic attempts to halt Iran's enrichment programme had failed.

Iran has "clearly mastered the enrichment technology now...they're not stopping, they're making progress and our time is limited", he said. Economic sanctions "with pain" had to be the next step, followed by attempting to overthrow the theocratic regime and, ultimately, military action to destroy nuclear sites.

But Mr Bolton conceded that military action had many disadvantages and might not succeed. "It's very risky for the price of oil, risky because you could, let's say, take out their enrichment capabilities at Natanz, and they may have enrichment capabilities elsewhere you don't know about."

Such a strike would only be a "last option" after economic sanctions and attempts to foment a popular revolution had failed but the risks of using military force, he indicated, would be less than those of tolerating a nuclear Iran. "Imagine what it would be like with a nuclear Iran. Imagine the influence Iran could have over the entire region. It's already pushing its influence in Iraq through the financing of terrorist groups like Hamas and Hizbollah."


Kind of makes you wonder why the hell you're bothering to save for retirement, doesn't it? It also makes you wonder if perhaps the Mayans were on to something.
