Paul Ryan thinks Social Security and Medicare are welfare programs:
Speaking in broad terms Monday before the Economic Club of Chicago, House Budget Committee chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) defended his controversial proposals tohttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif slash entitlement spending and privatize Medicare.

Though billed as an effort to revamp his widely criticized budget, Ryan avoided describing his health care plans in specific detail, eschewing even the friendly terms he and other Republicans have used to explain it since he first unveiled it earlier this year. Instead, Ryan reframed the entitlement cuts in his budget as "strengthen[ing] welfare for those who need it," and accused Democrats who have attacked his budget as engaging in class warfare.

Gee. Then what's the nearly two hundred thousand dollars I and my employers have paid into the system over the last nearly forty years that I've been working?

Ryan is a ideological non-thinker. All his thinking has already been done for him, as far as he's concerned.

Well, remember Steve Forbes and his "flat" tax BS?

This is what happens.

The upper middle class and the people below that status pay into Social Security and Medicare - a true flat tax.

The lower upper class only pays tax on an amount up to about $108,000.

Then they "loan" the money to the Treasury to cover the over spending on wars, the Merchants of Death, the huge international corporations and the bank swindlers.

They stole it by the stroke of a pen.

My main question right now is how I can find out if Newt Gingrich (67), Ron Paul (75) and Alan Greenspan (older than dirt) are drawing Social Security retirement benefits?

Well that's the old game on the right:

Wage class warfare on "the lesser beings," but dress it up with spiffy, sweet-sounding phrases, that SEEM reasonable. Then, when called on it, accuse the other side of "waging class warfare."
