Why does Sarah Palin disrespect the American Flag?
Posted by Jill | 6:54 AM
This photo, used in a Newsweek article last year about Sarah Palin, appears on the 2009 Sarah Palin calendar, and was just lauded by Pat Buchanan on Morning Schmegegge as a demonstration of her patriotism:

United States Flag Code, Title 4, Chapter 1, Sec. 8(d):
The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery.

Why does Sarah Palin hate America? Why does she desecrate Our Flag?

Just gotta love those lapel-pin "patriots," no?

Hot! Do you have any more shots from the calendar?

brilliant!

Perhaps because she only respects it as symbolic of a specific variety of patriotism, rather than of our wonderfully diverse and messy country. There's what's called "wrapping oneself in the flag," which generally means chicanery is afoot. Hint.

There ought to be a national flag wearing amendment!
