Rachel Maddow has had enough of Scott Brown trying to wrest money from potential donors based on lies about her nonexistent political aspirations, which seem to exist only in Scott Brown's mind:
This episode in Republican delusionality demonstrates clearly the Republican Doctrine: That something doesn't have to be true, you simply have to get it Out There, and if it could be true, it's the same as if it is. It's Dick Cheney's One Percent Doctrine, translated from actual war to political war. And it is now standard Republican boilerplate.
If we weren't living in an insane world, I'd almost think that Brown and Maddow were in cahoots, that both of them get good publicity from this. But we already know enough about Scott Brown, and about the Republican Party, to know that if they have to lie about the Threat of the Big Scary Lesbian in order to bring in the bucks, they'll do it. Yes, they're that cynical.
Cheer up, Rachel. It could be worse. You could be
