"Only dull people are brilliant at breakfast" -Oscar Wilde |
"The liberal soul shall be made fat, and he that watereth, shall be watered also himself." -- Proverbs 11:25 |
The weakness the terrorists see, Sir, is the weakness of blind rage replacing essential cold logic. The weakness the terrorists see, Sir, is the weakness of judgment suspended, in favor of self-fulfilling prophecy. The weakness the terrorists see, Sir, is the weakness of moral force supplanted by violence and revenge fantasies. The weakness the terrorists see, Sir, is the weakness of Dick Cheney. And yet, still, ceaselessly, indefatigably, you moralize and lie to us.
"I might add," someone said today, "that people who consistently distort the truth in this way are in no position to lecture anyone about 'values.'" Very apt. The quote is from your speech. Your speech, which was at essence, about your fantasy that you and Mr. Bush were not negligent. About your pig-headed certainty first that these attacks were impossible, then that they were a good excuse for a war you had already planned in Iraq, and finally that they were to be imminently repeated and only you knew whence the next threat would next come.
You saved no one, Mr. Cheney. All you did was help kill Americans. You were negligent before 9/11. Your response to your complicity by omission on 9/11, was panic, and shame, and insanity, and lying this country into a war that did nothing but kill 4,299 more of us.
Labels: 9/11, American terrorists, Dick Cheney
Chickengeorge didn't look very surprised on that day, did he? And why was he in FL anyway?
I have not believed a single thing said since then about wars, costs, profits, politicians etc and I have not been wrong yet.
I have so low of an opinion of the government, that when Tillman's death was reported, I immediately wondered why they had murdered him.
When New Orleans went under, I was wondering what percentage of the dead would be black.
I do not believe that one person held at Gitmo poses any threat to the US. If they were guilty of jaywalking the bush gang would have tried and hung them.
The sergeant that killed the counselors in Iraq, should receive a medal. It will be a couple of months before any other "counselors" try and shame an american back into combat. If there were anything legitimate about that the Army would have posted names, credentials, medals on all of the dead immediately. It is just another dirty little trick. Rehab, combat, dead, no pension. The Pentagon can do that kind of cost analysis on a small piece of paper.
They ran a rehab unit in Vietnam that was shut down when the IG traced the "discharged" and found that something like 50 per cent died in their next live action.
Call out the military on how many men went to the unit, how many men were returned to combat. How many lived through their first combat. In civilian law, it is considered premeditated murder. In the army it is following orders.
PS the man in charge of the Tillman coverup just became the CO for Afghanistan. Nice to see criminals make rank. Check out how badly the coverup of My Lai hurt Colin Powell's career.
