Even if Obama wins, Sarah Palin is not going away
Posted by Jill | 10:41 AM
Having tasted the sweet nectar of power, the woman from Alaska with the insane, maniacal gleam in her eyes is not going away; she's just going to have her eye on 2012, when she figures she can take the White House back for the White People:
With his electoral prospects fading by the day, Senator John McCain has fallen out with his vice-presidential running mate about the direction of his White House campaign.

McCain has become alarmed about the fury unleashed by Sarah Palin, the moose-hunting “pitbull in lipstick”, against Senator Barack Obama. Cries of “terrorist” and “kill him” have accompanied the tirades by the governor of Alaska against the Democratic nominee at Republican rallies.

[snip]

Palin, 44, has led the character attacks on Obama in the belief that McCain may be throwing away the election and her chance of becoming vice-president. Her supporters think that if the Republican ticket loses on November 4, she should run for president in 2012.

A leading Republican consultant said: “A lot of conservatives are grumbling about what a poor job McCain is doing. They are rolling their eyes and saying, ‘Yes, a miracle could happen, but at this rate it is all over’.

“Sarah Palin is no fool. She sees the same thing and wants to salvage what she can. She is positioning herself for the future. Her best days could be in front of her. She wants to look as though she was the fighter, the person with the spunk who was out there taking it to the Democrats.”

Let's face it, folks: George W. Bush is going to leave one hell of a mess for the next president to clean up. I don't know why anyone is surprised by this, it's just another empty hole he's drilled using other people's money and then moved on. It's the story of his life. But the reality is that an Obama victory next month, while necessary, is not the culmination of anything. It's only the beginning of the fight to keep this nation from returning to the Dark Ages represented by the lunatic Sarah Palin and her Armies of Jehovah. Because you know as sure as we're standing here, that as of November 5, Sarah Palin will be the frontrunner for 2012. And if there isn't significant improvement in people's lives by then, we could be faced with Governor Architect of the Apocalypse ready and waiting to take over and complete her mission to bring about her messiah's return.

And Todd Palin will be running around the White House holding meetings with foreign dignitaries and others he would like to influence or he has a beef with. Sarah Palin is scary. Sarah and Todd together are scarier.

Hey - thanks for coming by my blogs. I noticed you on the top of my incoming link list (under AOL, that is...a place where everyone wishes to be) and appreciate the compliment of your traffic.

In case you haven't heard:

Former Cuban Communist leader Fidel Castro has been quoted(!!) as suggesting where:

*white people are all the more unlikely to vote for Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama because "they can't stand for the idea of a black President;" and

*John McCain's "belligerent and bellicose" tone will scare away voters all the more.

Leaving you wondering, based on this logic, who "right-thinking" "White European-American Christians" would really support come the November elections.

From here in the UK it looks good for Obama, and pleasingly bad for McCain, and particularly Hockey Mom and Action Boy - the rest of the world is just laughing at those guys, or would be if the prospect of the Palins taking power wasn't still a slim possibility. I've been on some rabid pro-Palin and anti everything, and everyone, websites, with no sense of humour or style, so it is reassuring to find that there are normal people over there in Blogland USA. Go Brilliant!

Surely nobody, but nobody, can be taken in by the Palin woman? I've tried to like her, but have come to the conclusion that she has nothing to say - in fact she specializes in vacuous hot air! America can do better than her!

Have you actually looked at her poll numbers? What her plans may be is of no concern to me whatever since, unlike her, I am actually in touch with reality.

Understand your concern about Palin. But let's not forget that she won't be the ONLY Republican candidate vying for the presidency in 2012. And she'll still be dumb as a plank. I'm not going to waste any sleep time on Palin.

Please,

Those trying to push Palin 2012 are doing a) damage control on her now and b) living in a land of fantasy.

The woman is an intellectual lightweight. She'll never be up to speed on current events and has shown she has the mental acumen of a sub 100 IQ.

Given the rigors of a Presidential campaign she will implode in weeks.

I can't believe people are taking this seriously.

It's just more distract distract distract...wake up bloggers.

Republican For Obama!!!

Yea, that is what we have here in this household and amongst many other households around this nation. The feeling of trust is felt more with Obama and Biden.

McCain being so Indecisive and Shifty. Both McCain and Palin are concentrating on the "put downs and flabbergasting of Obama". They do not even focus on the issues. Possibly because they have no idea what they would do. To scary for them to be in the White House.

I am proud of Obama and for what he stands.

Make the Change Happen!!

I have not seen anyone say this, so I will. Palin is an insult to the American voter. I am insulted in McCain putting her by chance a heartbeat away from the Oval office. I am also insulted by people who could support this ticket.

Everything that is being said about Palin's unsuitability today was being said about George W. Bush in 1999.

Everything that is being said today about "surely the American people aren't stupid enough to fall for..." was said by Walter Mondale, Mike Dukakis, Al Gore and John Kerry.

If the last 30 years has taught us anything, it is that around 45% of the electorate are plenty stupid and hateful enough to fall for the same bullshit over and over and over again, and then blame Dirty Liberals when it all fall apart.

cCongress owes each american citizen 1 MILLION TAX FREE DOLLARS TO BAIL US OUT. We want our share of the bail out pie. write your congressmen now and demand it before the election. we will bring the economy back in 3 days.

You are an idiot.

I am being kind.

Anonymous, you know there isn't enough money in the world to give each American $1 million? If every American got their share of the 'bail out pie' it would be closer to $3000 than $1 million. Yay for maths.

I am not sure why many are looking with suspicion upon Palin as for me she is intelligent and is charismatic , give her a change to prove it. So far She has proven to a successful leader in Alaska.

Palin will by no means be handed the nomination in 2012. There are plenty of other candidates, other governors, social conservatives, who won't have the stench of loser on them. And who won't come off dumb as a brick. I think people will get over Sarah Palin pretty quickly; indeed, they already have. They'll probably wanna go back to the drawing board and find someone new.

Romney. Huckabee. Jindal. Pawlenty.

I'm sure the next nominee will be a governor, as the DC Repubs will be pretty demoralized. But there are plenty to choose from.

Still, that doesn't make the prospect less scary. The guys above would be only marginally less rightening than Palin.
