Someone had to point this out
Posted by Jill | 7:00 AM
Someone had to point out that treating Sarah Palin like a fragile, delicate flower who needs to be treated gently; demanding that reporters treat her with "deference" as if she were a princess, is sexism of the worst order.

But I never in my wildest dreams thought it would be Campbell Brown who'd do it:

I guess this is an "Only Nixon could go to China" moment.

I am of two minds about this. I am very wary of Campbell Brown as she is married to Dan Senor who was a senior strategist for the Bush campaign. It's kind of like the James Carville/Mary Matalin dynamic where they are playing both sides to cover their income bases.
That said, Campbell seemed sincere in this rant as if to say if I have made it this far and am smart enough then the woman you are promoting as a possible President of the United States better damn well be at least as good as me.
I think and awful lot of smart and talented women, myself included, felt damn insulted by this cynical choice. I think we can see through it to what it is really.
