Rachel Maddow, on the permanent closing of Dr. George Tiller's clinic:
Scott Roeder is a terrorist, and yet no conservatives are talking about waterboarding him to find out when the next attack, the one he insists is coming, is going to take place. Scott Roeder is a terrorist, and not one Republican has expressed concern about having a terrorist housed within our borders. Scott Roeder is a terrorist, with ties to Operation Rescue, and not one Republican is advocating that people even peripherally associated with Operation Rescue be sent to Guantanamo Bay. Scott Roeder is a terrorist, whose targets are women and the doctors who provide medical services to them. And no one in government seems to care. Because after all, it's only women. And what is women's health care when compared to the right of men with issues about their masculinity and women who made choices they may regret and therefore want to make sure no other woman has the choice they had to intimidate medical providers out of business, to the point of murdering them.
Labels: abortion, despair, reproductive rights, Women's bodies
But their definition of terrorist doesn't meet any actual reality of such. They only consider brown people. And other scary (educated?) people. Not anyone of their ilk.
Thanks for your daily commonsense reporting!
