The Grand Old Delusion Party
Posted by Jill | 7:45 PM
It isn't just Bush and McCain who were delusional.

National Republican Campaign Committee's web site:
Thanks to Republican economic policies, the U.S. economy is robust and job creation is strong.

I shit you not.

Hello Jill,

I am not surprised at what they said. They have great faith in the BIG LIE. The more often it is said to their followers the greater chance the brain dead (20+ percent of our population) will believe it.

or how about the heaps of praise on bush the delusional GOP reps did for 40 minutes on the house floor

Good.

As long as the batshit crazy wing of the Republican party keeps on stubbornly ignoring why they lost the presidential election, the more votes they’re going to lose in 2010. Sure, Franks, Pence, and King–the Republican Three Stooges–are speaking to their racist, anti-woman, gay-bashing mob of loyal supporters, but that base ain’t as big as it used to be. It certainly wasn’t enough to get the McPalins into the White House.

Even the dumbest coach in football knows that if you keep on running a play that the other team has figured out, you better change it. Then again, if the Republicans were in the NFL, they’d be the guys carrying the barrels of Gatorade onto the field.

Can it get worse? Oh yeah. That’s what happens when you’re not a member of the reality-based community.
