I know you're all getting ready to go out and buy wings 'n' chips 'n' stuff for making nachos 'n' all the other comestibles one consumes on Oscar® night (no....wait...that's the Superbowl...for the Academy Awards it's some good dark chocolate (maybe) and a Hansen's Diet Tengerine Lime), but there's a story running on
60 Minutes tonight that's worth your time as we begin the serious countdown to the end of the George W. Bush Reign of Terror.
The story of
how Karl Rove set out to destroy Democratic Alabama governor Don Siegelman is finally running. And it's featuring the account of a REPUBLICAN operative. The Siegelman story is important because it's a microcosm of how the Republicans, when they can't win elections fairly, try to undo them via witch hunts and prosecutions. It also shows why the firing of U.S. prosecutors who refused to do the Administration's dirty work is important.
So watch tonight at 7 PM. You might miss some of the red carpet crap, but at least you won't have to deal with Billy Bush.

Then head over to
ModFab's place.
