Did that.

I saw an article several years ago that was commenting on the efficiency of the american food delivery system.

At that time, by computerized reordering, processing, packaging and shipping, the time from farm or storage facility to the store shelves was 15 days.

What they didn't report was that this means that any time there are only 15 days replacement food in the pipeline.

What this means is that if a severe weather change happens, there is no more than 10 days before food supplies run out.

I'm sure that the US government has a contingency plan.

Otherwise in 10 days of blocked roads and railroads, barbecued dog is going to be really expensive.

A couple of years ago, I read an article that said that with computers, the time from farm or storage facility to store shelves was down to 15 days.

If the northeast loses transportation because of storms for 10 days, all of the food will be hoarded.

I'm sure that FEMA has this covered.

Barbecued pet could become very expensive.
