Rachel gives the Democrats hell about their spinelessness in not disciplining Holy Joe Lieberman:

Rachel is absolutely right. Joe Lieberman has become so much of a Republican in heart and soul that he would take great joy in crossing over to vote with them to filibuster Democratic legislation that he, Joe Lieberman, doesn't want to see passed. To allow this vile man to keep his seniority and his committee chairmanship is to give him control over the entire Senate. Harry Reid might retain the title of Senate Majority Leader, but it is Joe Lieberman who would actually "run t'ings". You have to ask yourself why the Democrats are so willing to turn over control to a guy who said he feared for our future if our president-elect were elected. Is it just sheer cowardice, or in his love affair with the Republicans during their time in power in the executive branch, has Holy Joe, with the help of his friends in the White House, compiled a little dossier from that little switch room in San Francisco?

The fact is that Joe Lieberman made Harry Reid majority leader even after most of his Democratic colleagues in the Senate had abandoned him. He's proven far more loyal to the Dems than they have to him.

As usual, Barry, your disappointment at not being able to spend four years fantasizing about Sarah Palin in leather spanking you is making you delusional. However, I'm all for some good entertainment, so perhaps you can explain how:

- refusing to accept your defeat in a primary and running against your party in a general election

- speaking actively against your party's presidential candidate to the point of saying the nation would be "in grave danger" if he were elected

- speaking at the Republican National Convention against the Democratic nominee

- actively campaigning for Republicans in downticket races

...constitutes "loyalty to the Dems"? Lieberman may have made Reid majority leader, but Reid owes him no loyalty -- not after Holy Joe's disgraceful behavior this year.

Watching Joe late in the campaign, carefully positioned behind John McCain's right shoulder so that he was on camera during entire speeches, every smile, frown, smirk, nod of agreement in full view. I don't understand why this isn't an obvious matter. Switch him to the chair of the Vets committee - plenty of opportunity there to do good - if he agrees to stay in the caucus, & say the situation will be reviewed in two years. Otherwise he gets nuttin'.

I see no reason to let the results of this election stop me from that.
