Today's honoree: None other than Digby, for whom this feature is indirectly named, for reminding us what a truly heinous, ugly, mean-spirited man John McCain is, that he can't even bring himself to stand up for his own daughter when one of the Harridans of Wingnuttia decides to use her as a punching bag.

Money quote:
What kind of a man is this that he can't even defend his daughter against personal insults from the likes of Laura Ingraham?...I think he believes that Megan deserves to be spoken to like that because he probably speaks to her that way himself. Although she's quite lovely, she's not physically a perfect Barbie like her mother or Sarah Palin --- or Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham ---which is what he thinks is important in a woman. So, he can't bring himself to defend her. She asked for it.

Imagine what having Peter Griffin and the Mother from Hell running the executive branch. No matter how frustrated we may be with Obama, we literally dodged a bullet by not electing John McCain and Sarah Palin.
