It's no secret that I have long believed in some degree of Bush Administration involvement in the 9/11 attacks. Whether that involvement takes the form of incompetence or negligence (i.e. ignoring the importance of the August 6 2001 PDB); knowing the attacks were coming and allowing them to play out, not anticipating the extent of the disaster; or helping to architect them, I'm not sure. But there is just far too much which stinks about the official 9/11 story to believe it without question.
The White House has been
scrambling to find any photographs that exist of George Bush with Jack Abramoff, and now we know that
Time Magazine has some. The issue of contacts between George Bush and Jack Abramoff may be important far beyond the campaign finance scandals.
Take a gander at this AP abstract from September 27, 2001:
In Florida, Michael Hlavsa, chairman of SunCruz Casinos gambling cruise company, said two or three men linked to the hijackings may have been customers on a ship that sailed from Madeira Beach. One name on the passenger list from a Sept. 5 cruise was the same as one of the suspected terrorists, Hlavsa said. SunCruz Casinos turned over photographs and other documents to FBI investigators ...

In 1991, an investigative journalist named Danny Casolaro was found dead in a hotel in Martinsville, West Virginia. Casolaro was working on a book about what he called "The Octopus" -- a vast interconnected criminal network reaching into every branch of the U.S. government. "The Octopus" involved the "October Surprise" of 1980, Inlsaw, Iran-Contra, and the BCCI Scandal -- all of which occurred in or around the Reagan years, which involved one George Herbert Walker Bush.
No one knows for certain whether Casolaro was onto anything (though you can decide for yourself by reading
this book) or if he was simply drawing parallels among a bunch of coincidences. However, when you look at the intertwining aspects of "The Octopus" and the current environment of Jack Abramoff, huge amounts of money being used to grease Congressional palms, NSA spying, energy industry profiteering, the Iraq War, military contracting, the relentless use of 9/11 by the Bush Administration to justify its most anti-American totalitarian Constitutional violations, and the outing of Valerie Plame in the aftermath of her husband's whistleblowing op-ed article -- and you add to the equation that many of the players in this current government -- the Bush family, Donald Rumsfeld, and Dick Cheney -- are the same as then, it's not that much of a stretch to say that something stinks royally here.
