I'm still waiting for ONE Republican to denounce "Rev." Fred Phelps.

To date, not ONE Republican has denounced the hatemonger "Rev." Fred Phelps. Here is a man who calls himself a man of God, who has gone from picketing Matthew Shepard's funeral, to picketing the funerals of dead soldiers, and now he's planning to picket the funeral of Justice Willian Rehnquist.

Now, I had no great love for Rehnquist, but you'd think that a guy who says that "Chief Justice William Rehnquist is dead -- and in Hell, his "long home", which is to say, his eternal habitation of fire and brimstone, tormented with intense pain....We rejoice that Rehnquist is dead and in Hell...it is a sin NOT to rejoice when God executes His wrath upon a sorry, faggyass judge..." would be where even Republicans seeking favor with the Christofascist Zombie Brigade (TM Marc Maron)draw the line.

But no, all we hear is silence.

As far as I'm concerned, silence = assent.

Which means that Republicans from Bush on down think the Rev. Fred Phelps is right.
