Four Questions
Posted by Jill | 7:46 PM

I really need to send some money Americablog's way; they are arguably the most important resource in Blogtopia.

John Aravosis asks some very good questions:

1) Did Karl Rove intentionally undermine a CIA agent working on WMD counterespionage for personal/professional gain, not even for altruistic "God and country" reasons, in the midst of a war hinging on that very issue?

2) Why does he still have a security clearance?

3) Did Rove's leak, and the ensuing risk that leak may have posed to CIA assets worldwide, in any way help those who perpetrated the London bombings last week?

4) Has anyone investigated just what damage Rove's leak has caused US national security, what assets it in fact has jeopardized abroad, etc?

I'd like to add one more:

5) Would every Republican who seems to think this is no big deal, answer the question "How would you react if all else in this story was the same only the president's name was 'William Jefferson Clinton'"? You'd be calling it treason, wouldn't you? So please explain how it's OK when the president's name is "George W. Bush." (Hint: a zero score will automatically be granted anyone who answers with "Because it's OK if you're a Republican" or "9/11 changed everything.")
