Just wonderin', is all
Posted by Jill | 10:14 PM
Just wondering why there are people in this country who can't get past Barack Obama's skin color enough to vote for him, but they're perfectly OK with a presidential candidate who is 72 and has had multiple bouts of malignant melanoma (including one with lymph node involvement) and a vice-presidential running mate who's profoundly ignorant of just about everything she'd need to know to lead this country -- and who thinks we are not entitled to know anything at all about her?

As long as the 72-year-old is impulsive, senile and has a hair-trigger temper I can't see the problem.

RealityCheck here:

They cannot look past skin color because they revel in their ignorance, and racism. McCan't and Palid are JUST LIKE them!! Why on earth would you ever want to vote for someone smarter and better for the world than you are!?!?!

However, I do like to think of the bumper sticker that says -- "Is Amerikkka (my spelling) ready for a black president? Why not? We have one now that is retarded." The problem is that those who voted for Bushie and will not vote for Obama are just like the last sentence of that sticker.

The 27%ers will choose melanoma over melanin every single time.

Damn, Drifty...which I'd thought of that. You know, the Obama campaign could use a pithy sound-bite writer like you...

Because it is EASY to see the difference between Obama and McCain. Black and white!
Simple! Purely simple.

It takes THOUGHT to see the intellectual difference and that takes intelligence on the part of the "thinkee". Which might interfere with channel surfing...
